Southern Highland Craft Guild Results!

Well, the results are in.. I did not make it past the final round of judging to get in to the Southern Highland Craft Guild. I hope to be able to contact them to get the comments back from the judging, though they claim that they can’t share the notes.

I think for now I’ll focus on the upcoming Piedmont Craftsmen event in November, and put the Southern Highlands on hold for a while. Applying is a months long process that really took a lot of my time a resources. Maybe once I’m more established I’ll give it another try. For now maybe the Piedmont event will be a success!

I live and work in Asheville, NC. I've been learning to carve since 2012, and started my own rocking horse business in 2013. I've always loved drawing horses, and find those skills practiced as a teenager now come in handy as I carve each horse to life from chunks of wood. I love creating things that children can enjoy, move with, and learn from. I also love hiking through the hills of the Asheville area, swimming in the icy waterfalls, and hanging out with my husband and my dog.
