I created this design from a simple drawing based on the idea of a Norwegian Fjord horse. These strong horses are full of beauty and character. I carved this piece from a recycled white cedar beam for shipping heavy machinery. Made from recycled wood that would otherwise have been thrown away, this one of a kind sculpture has meaning and history. The horse is hand carved and sanded to a silky smooth finish, and treated with all natural, non-toxic linseed oil and my home-made oil and wax finish. Walnut circular base.
